still not sure if it will work.  I have a stack of drives some internal some external so big some small.  How do I hook up my drive to the ps2?   I would like to use my 500gb external instead of buying a smaller drive if possible.  Also what EXACTLY do you mean by broadband adapter?  Is that just some type of lynksys router or a special ps2 product that I have to buy?  Assume nothing explain everything.

The harddrive hooks into This add on and plugs into the back of the PS2.

The first time you start the Harddrive software it should format the drive to the PS2 file system or you can do all that on the PC with appropriate software.

Ok so does that mean I can't use my external drive case?  Also is that special hookup something extra I have to buy or is it already in the back of the ps2 and I just have to connect the drive?  Also what is a broadband adapter exactly?  Is it yet another piece of equipment I have to buy
or is it just some type of router I can use and if so is it a specific make and model adapter?  Is their a shopping list of sorts anywhere so I can just get a list of all the
items needed?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

The item in the picture IS the broadband adapter.

You can't use an external with it, unless you use the USB version of HD loader (USB Extreme, or something like that....not sure, as I have no use for it)

There's no need for another shopping list. I gave you one yesterday.

Yes, on average.  If you can find one at gamestop, I believe they only charge like $15.  Craigslist is also a good spot to find them.

I'll have to keep an eye out.  I want a hard drive setup but not badly enough to pay $100 to do it.

Well, I'm at gamestop pretty often, so I'll grab a couple if they have them and offer them here.
