About the Iranian ship:
The thing we really need to be worried about is that it was heading for Amsterdam.
Lol yeah, it was supposed to be carrying "iron ore" from China to Amsterdam. Maybe it stopped in Iran somewhere along the way already?
It gives me the same uncomfortable feeling that I had when I was walking on top of the roof of Schiphol (Amsterdam) airport and noticing an Iran Air airplane there. Sorry but I don't feel comfortable about planes from such countries flying around here. But then again, we've got a number of F16's always on standby.
I'd say American airplanes are more dangerous. They're the one who get hijacked or blown up most aren't they?
A few weeks ago a couple of Apache helicopters came thundering over my house. On their way to Schiphol. That's an eerie sight too.
About the passport hacking:
That's the system that was forced upon us by the US government right ?
Feels very safe !
I thought the EU was behind that? Although I guess the US is pushing to get it implemented quickly.
I would assume the US passport can be hacked just as easily. Actually, the US seem to rely on even less secure measures (for foreigners entering the country). They took my fingerprint last time I was there. If there is something that's easy to hack then it's a fingerprint scanner.
