But you will die with a greasy smile on your face!  ;D

Ed_McCarron:
A long time ago (hopefully the NDA has expired) I did some cabling at one of the plants that makes pattys for McD's.  Big bins of meat -- Steaks -- Come in in big tubs, get dumped into a grinder, and come out the other end of the machine flash frozen.

No fillers.  No spices.  All meat.

Seriously impressed me.

Ed . . . I'm not sure exactly that that is supposed to mean.  But the quality of McDonald's meat is terrible.  I don't even have to worry about NDAs to tell you how I know this -- I didn't have to sign one before putting a McDonald's burger in my mouth.

Why is the quality of the meat terrible? Healt hazzard "terrible" or simply tasteless or something?

Their point is that the meat is plain meat and the way they prepare their patties, it's obviously meant to be an "ingredient" rather that the main item. They make cheap burgers and yeah, the meat is not supposed to stand out on it's own.

RayB:
What about all those rumours about them mixing in corn meal?
