Far as I know you can't see without any light -- cat or human. Low light yes, no light no.

Indeed, they probably mean "really really low light" or "with no lights on", but then "complete darkness" sounds cooler. The Sun is not really a quality paper though. To be honest it's the only source I could find for this story, so it might very well be completely made up altogether. But then this is wacky news, and though maybe fake, it's wacky :P

I drive a LOT around that area.
The only thing I wonder about is why there were 3 dead crew in the cockpit....you'd expect only 2 in the cockpit during landing right ?
