I'm trying to get my first Non MAME up and running with JAMMA Harness Help me !

That close up tells the tale for sure.  From the other picture, it looked like the yellow was right next to the red, but I see now the -5V is missing.  Not a big deal.  Very few percentage of boards use the -5V in Jamma.

And that won't affect anything with the AC wiring.  It would only be an issue if your PCB requires -5V DC.  Don't confuse your AC and your DC.  And if you're not real comfortable with those, please ask ALL your questions before you start powering things up too much.  AC is not always very forgiving.

Check out this page for your video question.  Without knowing what board and monitor you are using I can only guess that you won't need the vertical sync.

I have no idea which one is even the coin door bundle.. and those hook "u" shaped wires i one see black, red, and yellow

these are wires off the happ monitor :

wires with connector off JAMMA Harness (Missing yellow ?)

maybe i just have a bad wire harness ??? this is a close up :

OK after viewing this  : http://www.jammaboards.com/guides/JAMMA-H1_REV2.pdf

it looks as though obviously i'm missing a wire black is ground which i knew, red is +5v, and yellow is +12v, i'm missing the green one which is -5v is this imperitive ??

clearly i'm missing that green -5v : this is the image off jamma boards:

also here:
is an accesory outlet that i have, when i brought the machine home it was working if i plugged a lamp into it or anything for that matter, its not not working, is it related to not having a -5v hooked up to my power supply ?

The white is also a sync wire...... It really depends on the game you are playing as to which wires are used... Usually just the Yellow wire is needed, but in some games both syncs are needed and can be safely tied together (Yellow and white together).... You are not going to damage anything by tying them together, you will either get a synched picture or you won't....

-5 Voltage is probably not necessary and either is the additional ground (Usually), just tie to the ground you have.... Also your AC issue is non related.... If it were working before and now it isn't, you have a fuse issue most likely... Do you have a DMM to test voltages/fuses?

I can't even get a picture to turn on at all, if i plug the monitor brand new mind you.. it turns on and i can hear it humm, and if i turn if off i can hear the crackling die down normal atributes of a crt etc.. so i know the brand new Happ monitor works but i don't know how to power it on without having it plugged into an accessory / or regular outlet, Happ provided a quick disconnect on the power cord and looks like a molex with 3 wires. Also i don't know why forgetting about getting my buttons to work i don't know why i can see a picture at all. I cant get my coin doors to light up basically not getting any power. And I know that the power supply should be working because when i recieved it, the coin doors lit up, since removing many old wires, and trying to hook up the brand new JAMMA harness i can't get anything to operate.

Edit!! getting soo close to getting it to work :: initially looked red scramble lines..

Scrolling / slanted at a weird angle, and colors are mainly red ::

Thenasty:
When CAbs are open from the back, sometmes it has an interlock switch. This diasble ALL POWER. Make sure to PULL it out to have power go thru the cab.

It's installed agains the side of the cabinet where/when you close the back door, it ppushes it in aloowing power to the cab.
mrclean:
i noticed that with my cousins centipede machine, but havn't noticed that on this taito cab that would resovle that scrolling issue ? and slanted issue ??
