| 'Mirror' monitor setup and MAME |

Ok, contemplating getting a Omega Race cabinet and wondering if anyone has ever MAME'd one or has any pointers/sites I could take a look at where someone MAME'd a mirror monitor setup cab. Very interested in the cabinet, as it looks very cool...but if I can't MAME it I just don't have the space now :/ |

That's considered a 'classic', and the conventional wisdom is to keep it as it is. |

Omega Race aside, has anyone done a mirrored Mame cabinet? I've contemplated doing a mirror setup, but don't have room in my current cabinet. |

Contemplated but never done it. I'm watching this thread with interest... Eric. |

What's the conventional wisdom on a mirrored setup using MAME? ;) (I get a kick out of a comment about what not to do when the status of the game, what the project will entail, etc., isn't even known) And I'll start a project thread. I'm damn near certain I'm going to do something along the lines of the two Omega MAME cabinets that are floating around on here. Hoping that I can get in touch with the person that did the OmegaMAME that is a multiwilliams, since I'm thinking of doing CPs similar to that. He also mentioned that the mirror setup looks great so...we'll see. Part of what I'm wondering is if it would be possible even to use the mirror since it's semi-transparent - i.e. if I turn off the black light, will the mirror be fully reflective allowing the play of other games normally? |
