I soon will be using U360s and am trying to understand how well it will work with Game Ex and my other Emu's. With my current setup, I have an X-Arcade that outputs key presses for button presses etc. but it is my understanding that the U360s do not work this way. I downloaded joy2key just to get idea of what it was but I see no exe file... Can anyone explain how this works in general? |

joy2key simply translates gamepad output to key presses. If a program doesn't support a gamepad, joy2key is a great option. (I have U360s and have not needed joy2key, though) |

I am using XPAdder rather than joy2key but I assume it works pretty much the same way. You simply have the program assign a keystroke to a particular direction of the joystick. I found that I needed to use such a utility with my frontend (GameEx) if I wanted to be able to use joytick+button presses simultaneously, such the the alpha paging feature of GameEx. If you are having problems with joy2key, give XPAdder a try. It has a nice graphical UI, support for multiple profiles, and many other useful features. Dave |

I will look into XPAdder, thank you. I will also be using Game Ex as well as HyperSpin from time to time. I plan on using NullDC as well which I don't think supports joysticks as of yet...??? |

This probably isn't what you were looking for, but still might be useful for you. There is a plugin for gameex that works with the u360 controller. Its basically changes the mapping of the u360 to 8 way 4 way or whatever depending on the game. There is one or two different pluggins listed on the forum. I set mine up well over a year ago so don't remember to many details about the setup, but it works very well. When I get home I'll try to find some more info. |
