Some of you are so joyless.  This guy is making a cabinet out of a Kodak photo booth.  That's ridiculous.  And it's hilarious.  And the original poster knows it.  Lighten up and smile a little.  It's healthy.

The only thing of potential value in one of those things is the touchscreen... which he seems to have lost anyway.   ;D  God was that 15 pounds of crap stuffed into a 12 pound cabinet.  The hardware was awful and they were less reliable than a construction estimate.

The reliability had nothing to do with the software right?   ;)

The software was actually pretty simple.  The failures were usually in the printer and scanner.  The printers were especially prone to heating element failures.  They didn't spec in software detection of those so the kiosk would think it was fine and try to print anyway - spitting out a print with the second and third layers of the CMYK coming out as weird static clingwrap looking film.

Stub:

What a small world, I work for RiteAid too. These must be the old stations, that are dropping in new ones with good data lines to do similar print from home features that CVS offers.

Just weird seeing one here
