| When is it too cold to paint metal? |
| (1/1) |
| RayB:
Autumn is moving in fast this year (I'm in Southern Ontario... close to Buffalo NY for you USAnians). I need to sand and paint some metal legs outdoors. Didn't have time all summer, and now I just can't leave these projects to sit another winter. So? Opinions? It's always good to have painted metal bake in the sun. How cold is too cold though? |

Check the pain can, but 60-65 F is the common minimum apply temperature for most paints. |

I've got a can of Rustoleum that says to use outside when it's between 50-90F (10-32C for you METRIC-aticians) |

Just keep them indoors until its time to paint and I don't think you'll have any problem. You can soak a spray can in hot (tap hot) water to make it flow better. |
