Okay, this is getting more bizarre. The coin mechs work fine sometimes, but on particular games (namely Street Fighter III: Third Strike) dropping a coin locks the mechanism from responding. I can hit 5 (the button for coin slot one) on my keyboard before dropping a coin and it registers it fine, but as soon as I drop a quarter in the first coin slot, the game no longer accepts either button presses on the keyboard or coins. This also happens with Double Dragon, and every now and then a game registers a "coin error". What's going on? |

Sounds like your switch is sticking maybe? |

well, the fact that you can manually register a credit leads me to think you need to adjust the wire. The fact that you get 'coin errors' leads me to think that your credit switch is getting stuck normally closed. Actually, I think I just realized your problem. According to the diagram on your switch in the pic, it appears you have it wired to NC. The diagram is backwards from a Cherry switch. That would explain alot! |

From what I understand about wiring (admittedly not a lot and not very well), if I had it attached to NC it would constantly be adding coins, right? I'll switch it up and give it a try though. Thanks. |
