Jeff AMN:
Well, he gave the ref a bloody nose, so I think he landed it well enough. I wonder if the ref could file criminal charges...would that be handled in China?

Probably in about twenty or thirty years.

Am I missing something though?

--- Quote ---“To me it was obvious he was unable to continue,” said Chilmanov, the bronze medal winner. “His toe on his left foot was broken.”

Um... so what? My father broke two ribs during a competition (Super G) when a moron tried to short cut across the course. My dad picked his own ass up, hiked back up the mountain and started the race over. Forty years later, the same man would shatter bones in his hand, duct tape the fingers together and go back to work in freezing temperatures.

A broken toe? Didn't seem to stop this guy from smacking the ref around a bit. :dunno

He wasn't DQed for that, though.  He was DQed when he didn't get up after 60 seconds, which is the rule, according to the story.

shardian:
He should have said "POP IT TOMMY!!", and then got back out there.

ChadTower:

Ref kick:  If do right... no can defend.
