is PAYPAL not making enough money?

AtomSmasher:
I've used paypal for years and never had any issues.  Their site has always been really fast for me.  Maybe it is just an Australian problem.  :dunno

So what does that say?

that your computer is a C64 as well, thus more compatible  ;D

Don't nock the old commodore machines. I remember reading an article in Compute Gazette, where a US based nuclear power plant used VIC-20's to control the critical aspects of the plant operation (such as rod depth, and coolant flow). For all I know, they are still using those same VIC20's  ;D (and it wouldnt suprise me one bit, considering how robust those damn things were...)

A Vic-20 and a C64 aren't the same computer.

just joking  :D  a friend put me onto sidplayer recently, and its really awesome to hear how rich a sound came out of the SID chip. and how big a piece of music you get from maybe 8k of memory...

Ed_McCarron:
Don't forget, the SID package in the C64 was hardware - the software simply told the chip what to do.

I don't have any big problems with logging in, but I do find it comical that whenever I first log in I get a screen that says something like, "Logging in.  If you see this page for more than five seconds hit refresh and try again."  If I followed the instructions I would never log into PayPal because it always absolutely always every single time without fail takes more than five seconds to get past that screen.  Usually more like ten.

I do periodically have problems with Paypal doing ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- things like freezing funds with no good reason, or having a transaction decline when I create one of those single-use credit cards even though I have the money in my account.
