Anyone ever polish a trackball?

I would agree here. A Dremel tool with a buffing wheel and some polish compound can achieve fantastic results on various materials. I've polished many items like this and they have turned out great. If you have access to a Dremel, I would try this route first.

I used Novus plastic polish to polish one of mine and I used Turtle wax crome polish on another, both cleaned up real nice. I just used a rag and some of the polish and in 10 or 15 minutes I had a smooth ball that was back to the original ivory color. You can get the crome polish at Wal-Mart for about 2 or 3 dollers.
