I guess Arcade Hollywood is branching out

Well, here is how I feel about it, either way its low.  If you have one MAME machine and you re selling it, than that's okay, but this guy sells hundreds with thousands of ROMS.  I sold a single MAME, yes, I had some phone calls that had people yelling at me at the other end after listing it on craigslist.  But it was to recoup what I put into the machine for material and labor, not the ROMS.  I don't see anything wrong with that, but c'mon, arcade after arcade?  It's just low to me to make your living this way.

But, we can set here and post how bad it is all year, until Capcom, Atari, Namco and the ESA decide to do something about it, it doesnt really matter...

I don't know what you guys are banging on about.  I do not think anyone cares anymore.

I went to a local arcade dealer in the states last month and they guy was selling custom cabs with 48-1 boards.

These were blatant rip offs, but these people get away with it.

Some of us are calling the kettle black with our collections.   ;)

But I'm not opposed to awareness of copyright integrity in any shape or form, especially on this forum.

Ah, but most of us arent making a profit doing so.  Most of us are not vendors selling cabs.
FrizzleFried:
I do believe that Neo-Geo is MAMED (as that is what these guys do)...but I admit it's the least offensive of the piles and piles of destroyed cabs on his site.

I too don't have a problem with a guy selling his personal MAME...frankly,   ROMS or not.  Just don't go advertising it and for Christ sakes don't turn it in to a business.

Ummon:
To be a certain measure fair, most of the cabs are largely intact, with only a monitor and CP replacement needed. The exception here is Tempest: that CP is just too cool to modify. I mainly posted on this because I think their 'schtick' about vintage+modern is funny. And though they're on ebay, I find it interesting they're starting to advertise in classifieds outside of their state.
