This is obvious, but just for my own clarification:
Our community's issue with these folks is twofold:
1. converting the most revered of classic cabs to mame as opposed to restoring them; and
2. blatantly advertising cabs with roms loaded.
Right?
Because frankly, I like that machine. :) It's a respectful conversion, from a design point of view anyway (the mostly full-featured CP in all black is nicely understated and fits within the stock dimensions), so if this were a scratch built DK clone instead of a raped and pillaged classic DK cab, it wouldn't be so bad right? (Illegal roms notwithstanding).
I know nothing about Hollywood Arcades or whoever they are, I just kinda like that cab. :)

Eric.

So apparently the 145 games are licensed (cd included in the sale?) So that would leave the DK mame beign the only problem...unless there was a DK board within the game....then everything is on the up and up as far as licensing is concerned? I could be, and probably am wrong though. haha

I'm curious though how a guy goes about selling his homeade cab and not breaking teh rules... Seems like the packaged licensed multiple game CD's would be the way to go.

I don't know, smells like bull :censored: !!!

I guarentee he doesnt have the rights or is licensed to sell 20 clone Donkey Kong arcades.  I mean, there has to be some trademark violation there or something....

If you're going to spend all that work, money & time on a clone/MAME cab, why not just go the extra mile, design your own cab, artwork and logo and make a multi-cade cab?  I mean, if you already have the license for the games/ROMS, why put it in cab like that?  I don't know, I just think its stupid to play Mortal Kombat on a Tempest "dedicated" cab...
