jr's Donkey Kong restoration
Dustin:
 Man,not a way to treat an arcade classic cabinet by replacing its internals with MAME.
Try to find a different cabinet to MAME, anything but a classic!!!
Marvel Vs Capcom, while a great fighting game and all..... NOT a REASON to MAME the Donkey Kong. ::)
_JMFR:
^^agreed
DaOld Man:
I have to agree also, you should save up your money and finish the restore of Donkey Kong.

@ the purist whiners...
Are you people serious? If you looked at the thread you've seen what he started with. He did a good job of re-creating and cleaning up several parts along the way to doing a restoration and then ran out of resources so he set aside the good pieces and gently installed some temporary parts to continue to enjoy the cab.
He never had the board.
He didn't rip out a monitor.
He didn't re-drill a CP.
He didn't damage the paint.
He didn't destroy the bezel or marquee.
He didn't burn it.
He just set a laptop inside the cabinet and hooked it up to a monitor that he set inside and some controls on a board that sits in the stock location.
I can get on board when people are trying to keep a classic from being destroyed or even mildly damaged, but this thing is in much better shape than when he found it and still well on the road to a restore.

GONE
Time to continue on the road to greatness after a detour in stupidity.
Bought a board, no clue if it works but it looks good
I need help on the wiring and I need to find a way to test the board. Plus I still need a monitor.
