Let's ask Saint. I'm torn on this one, and I can usually make up my mind pretty quickly.
Wasn't Black Tiger a conversion from Tron?

Two Tigers was the Tron conversion. Black Tiger was a Jamma game with no dedicated cab.
My opinion is that they belong in here as long as they are using non-mame PCB's. My Multi-Williams uses the arcadeshop board so I don't think it belongs. Arkanoids use a real arcade PCB and had no dedicated cab, so a restoration is really into any cab.

Very well. Consider this the green light.
BUT BE WARNED! CROSS ME AGAIN AND I WILL DESTROY YOU.

RESTORATIONS - DEDICATED
RESTORAGIONS - CONVERTED
Seems simple enough to me. Just make another forum. A Williams Multigame or even a 48-in-1 conversion isn't a "MAME CAB" and shouldn't be in with Project Announcements...regardless of whether MAME is running on that 48-in-1 or not (it certainly isn't on the JROK board).
ChadTower:
Is there an actual need to distinguish between the two? Restoring either is the same work. Repair the game boards, repair the monitor, restore the cabinet. Is the distinction of "dedicated or converted" somehow important to that set of tasks?
WunderCade:
It seems like semantics, but "to restore" means to put it back to what it was. I think the word "restoration" in the context you're using it, really means repair work. In that regard, there is a difference between repairing to convert, and repairing to restore.
But when you're talking about an original kit, restoration would be whatever cab offers a compatible fit.
