Curse word translator
« on: July 26, 2008, 10:55:20 pm »
The auto-censor on these boards confuses me sometimes (what the heck is ---smurfy smurf--- or whatever???). I want to know what the poster actually typed! So, I am making this post to generate for myself (and any other person who might be interested) a list of translations. Below are my Top 10 zingers and the BYOAC auto-replacements. I actually don't know what the replacements will be until I hit Post.

The F word - ---fudgesicle---
The SH word - ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---
Female dog - ---smurfette---
G-D - ---goshdarn---
Your back door - ---uvula---
M-F'er - ---maternal-smurf---
The big bad C word - ---Bad words, bad words, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when saint censors you?---
A cat or the female fun zone - ---Bad words, bad words, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when saint censors you?---
Sucker of roosters - ---Bad words, bad words, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when saint censors you?---
Male cattle excrement - ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow---

Please add to this list if I missed any important ones.

Eric.

You could just turn off the auto-censor :)

I missed your translations because I have the autocensor switched off. Maybe I'll switch it on again, just for fun  ;D
Wish list: Galaga, Pacman, Pooyan, Star Wars cockpit, Gauntlet, Tron

And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.

I am disappointed by how many words simply become "---auto censored---"
LAME! We need creative replacements for all.
Like farking bastage, what movie was that from? Some 80s movie with Michael Keaton I think.

Probably NSFW although no curse words are actually used:

Ha! Ive always had the censor off, but when when reading without signing on I had always seen uvula, but never thought to check what it was censoring. Thats a good one. uvula is a funny word without meaning something else in the first place!

--cream-filled twinkie--  is apparently --cream-filled twinkie--. (just saw it not logged in a different thread...)

odd how adding the bag changes the word...

I have discovered some curse-like words that are safe from the translator:

dick
assclown
fudgepacker
butthead
spooge
wanker
jerkoff

Yayyyy!

Auto-censor is strange here.  I have it off yet sometimes it will auto-censor and other times it wont.  This post is a good example.  The first post is not auto-censored yet a couple replies are.

That's probably because the person manually typed in the auto censor response.

We tried to set up an auto-sensor that would sense when you were logging on and crash the forum.

Didn't work.

My message shows what the auto-censor would show when typing in the words.  I think that I have it on.
