Hmm I completly forgot about the NovaGem buttons. :D Maybe I'll roll with those on the last panel  |

Ok buddy, as promised. Sorry it took so long but I had to wait for it to get fully dark to complete the photos. The pics are of a 8000MCD RGB LED (with just the red anode powered) in a 'Happ' clear translucent pushbutton witha GGG diffuser. I tried to take photos at three angles as the light changes as you move from directly overhead to closer to the level of the CP. Set 1 - 3.00PM bright sunlight (I dont need to tell you how bright Stephen, you know how hot it is!) directly next to a window: Set 2 - 3.00PM bright sunlight with a thin curtain closed: Set 3 - 10.00PM pitch black The light look quites orange but it is really red, the camera just doesn't catch it right. |

Hello, Even if you get your own buttons and LEDs you should get the RGB Drive boards from Randy. They should work with any common anode RGB LED and should also work with any monochrome LED. Soldering wires to the legs of the LEDs is tricky and prone to errors and the connection is delicate. Adding a resistor to each LED only complicates the mess. The boards cost almost nothing compared to the hassle you'll have wiring up your LEDs without them. Just my $.02. CM |
