I need a hollow shaft for a LS-32. I went on Arcadeshop.de and they have them, but I don't want to spend $25 or more (i haven't done the exact math) for a joystick shaft. Any tips on doing this myself?

Remove the shaft, look for one or more company and ask them if they can drill it.....they should do it for a small donation ;)

Thanks. If I had a drill press I could do it myself I think. It would be pretty difficult to do it with just a hand held drill.

If you want the maximum chance that it will work , you will need a lathe. A hand held drill won't work at all. A drill stand might be better but you have to make sure the shaft is exactly 90°. With a lathe the chance that the drill will break inside the shaft is still very high.

Good luck!!! :)

Did anyone test if these drilled shafts can be used with Bender's trick to make a top fire U360 joystick?  I don't need the LED.

Thanks.
