Trying to decide on a coin door

CheffoJeffo:

CoinCo can be a pain due to different size (metric) mechs, but the door you linked to is right along the lines of what I was thinking of. It really depends what you want to be able to accomplish through the coin door.

Ken Layton:

Coin Controls doors are metric and have not been manufactured for several years. What limited amount of parts are available for them still you can get from Happ Controls.

Coin Acceptors (a.k.a. Coinco) bailed out of the amusement coin door/acceptor market around 1995. Coinco doors are built to American measurements. Parts are now getting very hard to find as most NOS parts supplies have dried up. The only company I know of that still has a decent supply of parts for these is The Great Amusement Emporium. They only sell to game operators and they have a $500 minimum order requirement.

CheffoJeffo:

Ack ... Ken got me (and wise advise is to ignore what everybody except Ken says) ...

So, ignore what I said about brands and look only at the size of the door that you want.

Thanks Ken for not letting myself make a bigger fool than I have.
