CUTTING: PartsExpress Vinyl

I'm going to be using this stuff to side the "sides" of my shallow-depth coctail cab....I'm hoping its as easy to work with as some have mentinoed...but I've got to cut some 3" Holes in it for some 80mm fans.

Should I adhere the vinyl and drill both holes at once, or does this stuff tear up easily....ie: pre-drill the hole and then "cut out" the vinyl with a razorblade, etc...??

SirPeale:

Personally, I'd drill first.

AceTKK:

if you can find a good speaker-building forum I'm sure they can answer your question for sure.  If it were me, I would  drill the hole first then use a razor on the vinyl.

I had some "pulling/twisting" of the vinyl when I went to screw in my carriage bolts, but my holes were drilled before I put the vinyl on.

Ok, that leads me to believe I'm cutting first and dealing with the vinyl as a final stage...no worries there,
should all work out.  Thanks!
