Just my $.02, but to me there's a difference between trying to get top dollar for something and putting something out there for a sky high price, hoping to snare an uninformed sucker.  If the average selling price for something is $400-500 and you're trying to get $2500+, you're basically hoping to take advantage of someone.  I mean, caveat emptor and all, but that doesn't make it right.

He takes a pic with his personal hygiene items sitting on the thing, stresses that he "wants this thing out of his house ASAP!", and sets the price at 1500????

I would imagine that if he wants it out of his house so bad, he knows what it's really worth....
