Hell yeah!

Jdurg:
I didn't think the new actor or the new style for the Bond character would work, but after seeing Casino Royale and the trailer to this new Bond movie, I'm really liking where the franchise is going.

AtomSmasher:
Stupid title for the movie though.  I remember seeing an interview with the writer of the script a while back and they asked him what the title meant and he said he had no idea because it's not the title he had for the movie.

Checking wikipedia it looks like someone did explain where the title came from, but I still think its a bad title.

--- Quote ---Michael G. Wilson chose Quantum of Solace only "a few days" before its announcement on January 24, 2008. It was the name of a short story in Ian Fleming's anthology For Your Eyes Only (1960), although the film is otherwise unrelated.

Ginsu Victim:
Though it is an odd title, the one thing I like it is the fact that it's NOTHING like a Bond title. The film titles had almost become a parody of themselves toward the end of Brosnan's run.

I read it many many years ago (actually I've read all of the original Bond books). IIRC it was pretty good. Ian Fleming was an excellent writer. But the connection with James Bond was very tenuous. The story (which is nothing to do with spying) is narrated to James Bond by someone else.

Anyway, none of the Bond films since On her Majesty's Secret Service have even remotely resembled the books on which they're supposedly based.
