Kinda looks like something from TRON. Which isn't a bad thing.

Good - it's more fun using it anyways, plus gives you an excuse to buy BYOAC tokens!
Two more things: I would add t-molding to the front and sides of the control panel\shelf assembly you have there. I think it would give it a more finished look.
Secondly - have you seen European hinges?

It would replace that piano hinge you have there that ruins the lines of the control panel. Just some suggestions...
