yes my best friend is left handed.

and for the momment, while plannig it's personal preference. and it respect some symetry, I think it looks clean this way.

But I just receive this morning, first parts from ultimarc, and wait for the industrias lorenzo (hoppe they will arrive soon) and I'll idg into some prototype for the layout.
I guess I'll change my minds after a lot of tests and prototypes. ;)

It's still one IPac inpult for "up" another for "down", etc...

It's in MAME where you have set up the games:

yes that's what I'have understood.

--- Quote ---1.  You can set up a conroller ".ini" files:
http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/ (Select "Controller INI Files" from the left menu).

thank's for the tip, I'll try to see if it could adapted/hacked/used under xmame, my cab will run linux ;)

--- Quote ---By the way, I echo the other poster's question:
Are you sure you want P2 to play left handed?

the layout is for the moment just a "mind view", I'll have to test.

thank's

The ctrlr ini files are the most consistent way to do it.  Look at the provided ctrlr folder; all hotrod, xarcade, and slikstik have their ctrlr ini files set up to do what you want (except with their inputs).  I think the slikstik ctrlr files are the closest to the IPAC defaults.

Sorry, I was going heavy on the slang.  Dualey is a misspelled way of saying two (2) joysticks at the same time.   Goofey-footed is slang for skateboarders who ride left-footed, so I was referring to your left handed mounted joystick (which is cool, just was wondering)

So, I was just pointing out that the sticks would be further away from eachother than "normal" layout, which means you'll have a wider reach when playing 2 joy games like robotron, etc.

It'll probably be fine, that's why we build practice/prototype control panels, and build and rebuild and build more cabinets =)

Your english is way better than my attempts at any other language!

Good luck with your project and keep us posted (and take lots of pics)

don't be in hurry, I'm a very slow guy, I need to chek and rechek before starting the real project.
But sure I'll do a lot of pics...
I'have the plan to set up a step by step  page
