Are there any really small coin mechs?
Jdurg:
Yeah, and the coin switches are pretty cheap and easy to find. You can just take some sheet metal that you can buy at Home Depot and give the coin a nice path to follow through so you get the clinking and clanking, but also trigger the switch. Hell, you could make it so the coin triggers the switch, then comes out the bottom so you can use the same one over and over and over again. ;D Since it won't be a real coin mech, you could also make custom tokens or whatnot out of plastic if you wanted to. It will give you plenty of choices since it won't be rejecting anything. Have a spare beer bottle cap lying around? Sure. Throw that in there for a credit. :P

That is a good point, it doesn't *need* to be a full electronic coin mech - I don't really care if it triggers when someone puts a quarter in instead of my tokens :) (I've got a bunch of nickel 2006 BYOC tokens I got for the machine). As for that coin mech you posted, lew, that's the exact one that I got from Ultimarc back in the day. Nice and compact (and works with any coin you want), but still a bit big for my compact machine. Though I guess I could make a separate coin box outside the machine, attached to the side.
