--- Quote from: shardian on June 25, 2008, 08:35:28 am ---There are comparison composites on the Adywan guy's website comparing his work to the dvd source. It is night and day, and I would have never thought Lucas would have released such a piece of dog ---Cleveland steamer--- for the long awaited dvd release.

It's one of Lucas' biggest a-hole moves ever. The fans were clamoring for the original un-"fooled" with films so he throws them together half-assed in a non-anamorphic, stereo release and says "You wanted 'em? You got 'em!"

I thought I was the only one who had an issue with that. I've discussed it a lot of times (yeah I know, geek :P ) and most people didn't even think about it. Did it ever appear in an interview with Lucas? I'd like to know what he says about it.

Ok I watched another one.
Terminator 3: The Coming Storm
Now first of all T3 was a piece of crap so with that being said and the source material the fan editor had to work with (acting horrid) here is the short and sweet of it.
T3 original movie = F
T3: The coming storm = B-
He does a fantastic job cutting out the really bad crap and moving some of the scenes around. If your at Terminator fan then this should replace your T3 in your collection.

Which dvd? The "original" versions Lucas released last year as second discs to the individually packaged SE's are letterbox only and of pretty poor quality considering the type of restoration work that can be done today. Essentially, they are just copies of the THX laser discs. :-\

I meant the Revisited version. I guess I didn't realize it was primarily based off a crappy non-anamorphic rerelease. :-\

;D FYI, there is a full size dvd (4.36) GB version of this floating around, it appears to be anamorphic to me
nice changes 8)
