when i wire my me111 to jpac, i take it i take the 12v from psu and just connect the signal pulse wire to the jpac or do i need a diod in place? dont want to fry jpac? |

anyone? |

This has been covered loads in the last few weeks; The i-pac and J-pac require a 5v coin signal - anything larger can blow things, which a lot of people didn't seem to know. This is why the coin door they supply comes with this diagram and a 5.5v zener diode; If you know how your coin mech is wired you should just get a zrener diode from your nearest electronics outlet (for about 20 pence/cents) and do similar as shown here. Depending on your coin mech though it may still not work properly as some multi-coin mechs with credit boards work slightly differently. |

ahh thanx much, ive 4 different mechs to connect will go and get some diods, so they dont go inline with the signal ie. ------{ |)------ but connected in middle of signal and ground signal ground====={ ¦}---------- SIGNAL |

Yes that's right. Someone once suggested using an inline 5v restrictor but it didn't work, has to be the zener diode. |
