Picked up the new Indiana Jones Pinball this weekend

Nice looking Indy!

I like Sterns though, new machines are fun, new art, new gameplay & new rules are cool you know. Look at SPP for example, that game is so deep you almost need a google button & GPS on that puppy sometimes.

Im just a pinballer who appreciates the attributes of all manufacturers, not just some Bally/WMS purist. Its good to fire up a nice DE, then a good WMS after a few old EM Gottie rounds & then some new school Stern (is it just me or dare I say TOM & CV had a similar feeling to the new pins today?).

Anyway, I wish I had a new IJ!

Huh?

I figured out that PotC is Pirates of the Caribbean, but you lost me at SPP.  :-[ What's SPP, DE, TOM, and CV. I'm learning here so anything good, I'd like to fire up in VP or FP... Ok? :D

EDIT: Wait, maybe I can figure this out. I'm using the bostonpinball price page to figure it out:
TOM = Theater of Magic
SPP = Simpsons Pinball Party
DE = ... Data East (this took the longest :P )
CV = Cirqus Voltaire

.... EDIT 2: I might as well as do the rest too:  :laugh:

POTC = Pirates of the Caribbean
WMS = Williams Manufacturing
EM = Electro Mechanical
GPS = Global Positioning System
IJ = Indiana Jones
PF = Playfield
LOTR = Lord Of The Rings
TSPP = The Simpsons Pinball Party
NIB = New In Box
SS = Solid State

pinballwizard79:
LOL...........you even defined GPS...................Oh, sorry Namco, LOL means laugh out loud.

Hehe, just messing with you.

Anyway, pinballer folks like to rant a lot so to save room for our philosophy we abbreviate when possible.

Its just a matter of time before you talk like the others.... One day you will fire up VP to play SPP & LOL when you JP during MB!

Peace.

SS.....there was a time that that meant something else.....

Anyway, I love Elvis too. I first played it at a company where I was working for a week (maintenance on the fire alarm) and to my amazement there it was in the recreation room. On freeplay. I spent every break there from that moment on :D

One time the regular guys who played it (who first looked a bit annoyed to see "their" machine busy) joined in and I could even keep up with their scores (while I had a LOT less practice then them) :D

Now I play it every time I'm at my Belgian friend Luc. That is, if I come across it between the other 50 pins..........

Cakemeister:
I like the Elvis pin, too. There's usually one at the Haag expo that I've been to the past few years, and there was one (broken, unfortunately) at the Texas Pinball Festival.

If I was to get a new Stern it would be an Elvis because you can't get a NIB LOTR anymore that I know of.
