Well my friend and  I have this wood control panel....We want to paint it black but don't know if we should just full on paint it black or pime it or somethingk like that advice?

fjl:

Definitely primer. And add plexi over it. By the way, your avatar doesn't animate.

Yea dude I know I want to try to figure out why thought.

EwJ:

If you're adding artwork, plexi, and t-mold, there's no need to prime or paint the top.
How's the box (or whatever you are fitting the cp top to) look? If bare wood, then
prime and paint is good.  You could use laminate instead - might be a bit more
in cost, but slightly less work (imho) and can look better than some paint jobs.
(depends on how much work you do with the paint job).

btw, your avatar is a png, not a gif - and wasn't that Frizzle's avatar at one time?

Yes paint if any is going to be seen that a CPO might not cover. If you paint use primer first and fix any imperfections as a paint job is only as good as the prep job. I primed and painted my DK CP and it came out beautiful. Hope this helps-Jim
