Awesome work, can't wait to see the art applied either!

This is a real ugly duckling to swan conversion  :)

IT'S DONE!

Well, basically. I'm still waiting on the green balltop stick for my Mag-Stick, but other than that, it's complete. Art applied, everything wired up, works like a charm!

Here are some initial shots:

Pardon the blurriness/quality of these shots, it was dark and I was tired, so I'll see if I can't get a couple better shots tomorrow during the day.

The control panel is solid 3/4" maple -- not plywood -- so it's extremely durable. Was a helluva job to cut through, but totally worth it knowing that the control panel should last virtually forever.

Those red buttons? Those would be the glowing buttons from GGG, lookin' great, if I do say so myself ;D

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result. Definitely a huge improvement over what it was originally. Couple of minor issues (joystick isn't quite aligned with the arrows, couple other minor things), but in the scheme of things, those are negligible.

What does everyone think?

Yeah, I realized that afterwards...I neglected to account for the lock on my plans. It isn't really a big deal, just looks like a cam lock with wings  ;D

I got the green ball top stick today and installed that as well (too lazy to take a picture). I'm pretty happy with it, except the "lift and turn" mechanism on the stick is extremely tight, which seems strange (had the same problem with the red stick). Is there any way to fix that?

I fixed mine with a 4 way Wico.

Haha.

I got it fixed...just needed to widen the hole for the joystick. A quick dremeling fixed that and now it works great.

Nice work Twist!

Could you post some pictures with the ball top stick installed?
