new poll about people advertiseing products....

(1/2) > >>

GroovyTuesdaY:
It just seemed to me that it would better serve this community if people that were promoting and advertiseing their own products on here should only be allowed to post their ads under a "new products" forum or something similar to reflect the nature of the forum.
Basically to keep the advertiseing out of the main forum, which to me should be about questions relateing to building your own stuff and not a place to get free advertiseing.

One of the other things that would be good about haveing a separate forum for new products would be the ease of locating the new stuff fast and easy.     All you would have to do is go to the new products section and get caught up pretty quickly on whatever is new.

If the forum was created, it doesn't mean you would not be able to get the information from BYOAC just that the subject has its own section.
Just a thought, lets see what others think :)

I read these boards every day and have never seen any "Product Shoving" as you call it. I enjoy the posts from Oscar, Christain, and Randy-T when they come up with something as cool as the last thing. I see that everyone who posts "advertisements" also contributes to the boards with fantastic advice and constructive criticism.

Anyway I think you're way off with this one.

One of the main reasons that I am on this board is to find out about new products or new ideas.  I like them and do not feel that anyone is pushing them.  This board is probably the reason that some  of these products exist.

Bring on the new stuff.

Learning about Mame products is also a major reason I visit this board. I like that most of the major Mame product vendors are active members here.

The more Mame products the better.

Sasquatch!:
Er, your poll seems to be just a little skewed against having vendors advertising here.  Where's the option for "Have you stopped beating your wife"?
