Don't mind him - I think since Billy Mitchell came out looking like an ass in the movie, which at least must be partially correct, PJ is upset...

Exactly. I've read about the stuff that was omitted, like Billy and Steve actually eating together and talking. That is important stuff, but one thing is for sure... They sure didn't splice together all of Billy's dumb ass sound bytes, and those are what makes him come off like a goofball. Not just in KOK, either.

A lot of his quotes were taken out of context and dropped into places in the movie they had nothing to do with. The one that EVERYONE goes on about was when he said you have to show up and compete live to prove yourself. He was most likely talking about the original '82 Life Magazine photo shoot/tournament in Ottumwa, Iowa.

According to those posts by Walter Day, Steve wasn't even pursuing a record - he already had it regardless of the Mr Awesome debacle. Who honestly gives a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- if Mr. Awesome helped him with his board? The fact that TG uses that as a defense destroys all of their credibility right out of the gate.
In the end, who gives a crap. I don't know either of the guys, I will never meet them in real life. It was a MOVIE. No need to get all worked up. The only person I feel sorry for in the whole mess is Brian Kuh - the poor guy is the king of all nerds and probably can't show his face at Funspot anymore.

Thanks Pinball Jim
Thats quite interesting the real reason i thought billy was an ass was cause the movie made it sound like billy never wanted anything to do with him from the start thinking he doesn't even know steve and is being an ass is what made me think he was an ass
--- Quote ---Billy Mitchell was not always avoiding Steve Wiebe. They met and played together on several occasions before the time period of the film, notably the 2004 Classic Gaming Expo, and they were on very friendly terms — even giving interviews together. In one scene in the film, it is implied that Mitchell drove away from his restaurant when he learned Wiebe was there, but Day contends that in fact Mitchell came in with his whole family and greeted everyone apologetically, including Wiebe.

Only thing about is (if i remember correctly which i doubt) that when steve said hi he didn't say anything and made a remark to his wife but later on they went to billy's resturant if im remembering correctly then that doesn't make sense that he came in and said hi to everyone and billy
