There were a few. For example the old Lotus F1 cars from the 50s and 60s used to be painted British Racing Green with a yellow stripe down the bonnet. They looked pretty damn cool. It's a real shame that the F1 teams started plastering their cars with garish advertising logos in the 70s.

A lot of the Lotus derived cars you see on the roads in the UK (mainly Elises and Caterham Sevens) are also painted in the same green/yellow colour scheme.
