Finishing control panels?
« on: May 12, 2008, 08:21:24 am »
Ok, redoing some control panels.  And my last control panels had black vynal sticky sheet on it.  Looked great and worked for 1/2 year or so, but after a while, it got scratched, then dug up... and this was adult used only, very limited damage... IE not a great long term solution.

So, how do I make the control panels look good and still sturdy?

I was thinking of a plexi level, but I'm not sure if I will be able to cut wholes out of it?

I also have like 8 control panels.  So I'm trying not to do anything super expensive.... Unless that is the only real solution.

Thanks!

Plexi. I drilled a starter hole then used my router with a flush trim bit to cut holes to exact dimensions/sizes and locations to the CP. Worked liked a charm.

You can also try laminate.
