Yes, I am still planning on selling kits. I am just sorting out what will be included in each one. I am leaning towards having a basic frame kit with the front and rear panels almost blank. This will help get around the various monitor/speaker combos people will be using. The marquee area would be cut out and the two acrylic panels will be supplied as well (machined to size of course). The back panel would be machined to include an access panel. I will also be offering the front Plexi panel if needed.
I also plan to build one-off jukes based on the equipment being used. Sorting out all of the possibilities has proven to be more difficult than the actual build! Any input from those interested will be greatly appreciated!
Here are some preview shots of the models I have been working on. The bottom picture is for the top bend, Instead of using two 1/8" MDF layers, I plan on machining one perforated 1/4" piece. This will simplify the build...ALOT.

Geez, I thought you were gearing up for production mode here ::)
How are you planning on producing these? Are you gonna stockpile 'em, or are you gonna do like Joe does with his 4x4 kits and make them per order?
And are you planning on making para-turnkey kits with touchscreen, CPU, hdw, and speakers included?
I'm just thinking that there's only so many monitors that'll fit in there, and if you had a basic speaker grille, you could mount whatever speakers behind it - maybe some kind of universal user-drilled mounting plate. You could throw in whatever front the user requests, or even a blank.
...can't resist, organizing solid model and production assemblies is my job. ;D

Ha! Funny you should mention this. These are the main issues I have been trying to tackle. I think I am going to build them to suit the users needs, per order. The shell will be identical though and I will try to have 2-3 on hand at all times. I think this is where most users will find value in the kit. The bend is the hardest part.
The design has grown an inch in every direction to make the assembly much easier and to accommodate other monitors. There is no shortage on these monitors though. As soon as I free up some time I plan on finishing up the plans, build a few prototypes, and start offering these. In the meantime, here are a few pictures some test cuts I made a few weeks ago. The J shapes are meant to be mounted to the inside of the front and back panel. The 1/4" MDF with the relief cuts for bending will be mounted to these.

I wish. I've never been to that part of the US - North of Alabama, between Illinois and Pennsylvania. I hear it's beautiful. Plus, Drew Carey tells me that "Cleveland Rocks!"
Hey, I've got a new product logo for ya!
:laugh2:

Looking good there Mountain. I also like the logo system01. Now you need one that says 'ELO Inside' :laugh2:
