The show is the next step in our evolution towards the future in the movie "Idiocracy".

--- Quote from: massive88 on April 29, 2008, 10:17:02 am ---I wonder if some of the contestants on there dont script some of their speech, its so terrible. "Like Yoda says, No Deal, I say!"  What?  Yoda never said that, nor would he ever say that, its not his speech pattern.  I need to be careful before I go off on another Star Wars tirade.

--- End quote ---

Have you seen American Gladiators too? The obviously pre-fed lines the contestants say before the event starts are painful to the ears. I suppose it is just an NBC Studios thing.

--- Quote from: massive88 on April 29, 2008, 10:17:02 am ---PBJ - The point is obviously the models, and watching the greed of the contestants destroy that which they had hoped to obtain.  Stretching it out to two hours long is just appalling though, its a half hour show...

--- End quote ---

I usually skip the first half hour of each episode. During that time, everything is the same. And it is evil fun to snicker at a person who turned down $200k, only to knock off the top case and cost themselves over $100k.
