spacific grounding question

ok, I am using a Hagstrom KE72 for my encoder running to a pair of IOX36 breakout boards (also from hagstrom). so here is the question:

each breakout board has 4 ground screws one on each of the 4 blocks (I am assuming that these 4 are all going to a common ground) . now with 2 breakout boards will I need to connect the ground for both these boards together? Also when it comes to "daisy chaining" the grounds will it matter which ground I connect to? From what I can tell it appears that the KE72 has 8 ground pins on it.
