The overlap IS 1 inch.

The lip you can kinda see is part of the wood.  It is an 1/8" that sticks up like a 1/16" or an 1/8" higher than the rest of the wood at the bottom of the bezel.

It is at the bottom of the piece of wood (toward the control panel)

hmmm... the part i posted is supposed to be the bezel art retainer, wonder where that goes then...  :dunno
