Hmm, now I'm curious as to what game it is. 8 bit sprites makes me think of Robotron but that didn't have Ninjas. |

I doubt this was a very common game. I only found it in one place when I was a kid. The only reason why it stands out in my memory was the small sprites, 4-way scrolling and very fluidic controls.... |

Was it one of these? Sega Ninja http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Ninja The Ninja http://www.mobygames.com/game/sega-master-system/ninja Ninja Kid http://www.juegomania.org/Ninja+Kid/fotos/nes/0/595_t/Foto+Ninja+Kid.jpg |

Ninja kid looks close to it, but the GFX were MUCH simpler... The other games you showed seemed to be top down and not platformers... And I am being serious about 8x8 pixel 1 bit sprites.. This was really an 80's cab. (maybe the game I played was an earlier version of ninja kid..?) |
