MameMarquees - Backlogged, Other Options?

RoninEditor:
I emailed MameMarquees but haven't heard back in about a week and I'd love to get my order going... I checked today on their site and it seems like it'll be a LOT longer to get my stuff done if I place it now and I really don't want to wait like three or four weeks to get it back.  Is there another company out there that does marquees?  I thought there was a second...?  Or should I just wait, I hear the quality is solid with them.  It's killing me though, I want to drill my CP with the art on it, just to make sure everything's perfect and this hold-up could delay everything.

RoninEditor:
p.s... how does EmdKay stack up against MameMarquees... it seems cheaper but I wonder about the quality...

Doh!  I just realized this is kind of a redundant thread, especially after I discovered Emdkay, which I didn't even know was still out there... I'm glad I found it, sounds like dollar for dollar better than MameMarquees, it's definitely a lot cheaper, especially with getting Lexan for $10 (and change) vs., like, $15 for Plexi.  And then the 26x8 marquee size a lot cheaper as well.

I don't want to ruffle any feather because both are such great assets to us but I think the MameMarquees delay thing was a blessing in disguise.

Also, here's a thread I found discussing them both...

Both got rave reviews.

emdkay does excellent work. Brent is a great guy and offers excellent customer support.

I'm definitely gonna go with him.  I keep hearing he does excellent marquees, plus his prices (especially the Lexan, not just Plexi prices) are great... I assumed he also did control panels... do you know if he does those?  It doesn't look like it, from his site.  I'd love to get them both done at the same place and be done with all of that good stuff.  I'm hoping he can swing it, mine's only gonna be 14x30, like a big fat marquee.
