Do not buy from irepairsquad.com [My Horror Story Inside]

TOK:
My opinion is not to buy refurb junk to begin with. I value my time way more than a few bucks, so I just would have gone to "real" local store and bought the thing.  Sorry about your luck though. What a disaster.

Neilyboy:
I know. I totally agree. It looked like a better deal than it really was  but when you tack on another 30 for a warranty and another 25 for tax then im sitting about where I would have been had I bought it from newegg and had no tax. I think just the talk around here about the place and them being local is what made me pull the trigger. Now I am very frustrated with the whole deal and want people to know what scum these guys really are. I have no idea why I went back a third time but I guess I was just excited to play.

Neil

Level42:
Man I can only say I admire your patience and calm.

I would have been a LOT different after the third trip. I stay very polite until a certain point. If it's crossed, they have a very bad time dealing with me.

Also, aren't there any laws there to protect you ? Overhere they would have to refund ALL of the money right away.

Many places are implementing a "restocking fee" over here. They basically hold you hostage for it, that way they can keep your money, no matter how crappy their product or service is. They will issue a replacement though, as Neilyboy has found out.

I would like to see states start reeling in this ---That which is odiferous and causeth plants to grow--- - along with rebate scams.

Side-bar rant approaching:

Rebates used to be a neat way to save money. Recently though, I have had MAJOR trouble getting any of them back. The process for rebates has always been very complicated in order to discourage people from sending them in. Now, it is apparently common policy to simply not send rebate checks in hopes of getting even more people to never follow up. I know there are several states that have banned mail-in rebates, and the store has to pay up at time of purchase. I think I want to move to those states. ;D

Rant over.

hyiu:
I never have luck with mail in rebate.

either I never see them, or the amount does not match what they promised...

after a couple of tries... I realize its a waste of time.

Now, either they give discount code where I can get discount right away, or I compare the price without counting the rebate.
