Charlton Heston
shmokes:
I listened to an audiobook of The Old Man and the Sea that he narrated. It was phenomenally well done. I basically feel like it completely made up for all the really ---smurfy--- things he's done with the NRA.

RIP Chuck. No one seems to remember you for your civil rights works....

Of course they don't. Everything they know about him, they know about from a terribly lopsided and cruel Michael Moore movie.

Right, which is exactly why it'll wind up in PnR. Like you, it's hard for me not to mention Michael Moore without using words like "liar".
I will say one thing, he's a genius of an editor. He can easily make something out of nothing. He's a master manipulator, though it's never used for good.

So far, the only two guys bitching about a PnR' angle is you guys. Just sayin' :dunno
His civil rights work is commendable, but it doesn't mean he can't be criticized for his work with the NRA. Does everyone who marched with MLK get a free pass for life, from any all criticism for any political stance they may take?
The dude chose to be part of one of the largest and most outspoken lobbying organizations in America, for one of the most politically charged causes around. I think he'd be fine with taking some heat for it.
