Coin door???

Sorry guys just a quick question. This coin door popped up on ebay in Australia. It says that it may be off a Daytona Machine. I was wondering if anyone could recognise what parts are missing off it and whether anyone recognised what type/model it could be. Cheers guys!

I forgot to ask this as well. Would anyone know whether any coin mechanism would work on this door... or does it need to be a specific one?

The other question was whether any lock barrel would work?

This is your standard run of the mill "Over/Under" coin door, either made by CoinCo or Happ Controls.

These were used on most Atari cabinets and a few other ones. This one is rather plain on the front (no fancy bevels where a logo would sit, eg. "Gottlieb" on a Qbert door".

There is nothing special about this door at all, in fact it is in horrendous shape. Needs a good sanding/sandblasting, and repainting first of all.

1) Any coin mech will work on this. They're standard

2) Any lock will work on this.. 7/8" I believe. The top and bottom have a lock hole.

I have to say MameFan that is sensational to hear. I agree it does appear that it needs a lot of work... I wont deny it. But it is like $AUD5 to buy. In Australia, I haven't seen that many coin doors appear on ebay before. Furthermore, I have seen just the front door, without a coin mechanism or coin box, in a new condition going for something like $AUD 100. That is the rough equivalent of paying $US 2.50 for this, a lock adn barrel for roughly $US 3.50, a coin mechanism for $US 5 and a bit of paint and elbow grease etc just to get this remotely working. However, if it was bought new through an arcade part supplier here it would probably cost roughly $US 80.

Its not all that bad, we just don't have it as lucky down under as you have it up there. ;)
