| Different arcade board connections... |
| (1/1) |
| ediblegod:
I bought a bunch of cabs awhile back to convert to MAME cabs. I know a lot about converting to MAME cabs but not a lot about actual arcade cabs. I have a few cabinets in my garage w/ different cabinet boards and different connections. My ? is how many different connections are there out there? I have one working cabinet but none of the other boards seem to be compatible with the connections. Any info is greatly appreciated. |

Any pics of the connectors? |

Depending on when the games were manufactured, there are lots of different connectors and, more importantly, pinouts (e.g. two games could use a 36-pin connector, but have completely different pinouts). In the mid-80s, the JAMMA standard was created to simplify the conversion of cabinets. Pics might be helpful, as would be a description of what the game boards are (or pics of the gameboards if you don't know what they are). |

Here's a pic of each board. The first pic is the working cab. Moon Patrol Time Pilot '84 Road Riot |
