Scratch Built Jamma Cab
TheDriver:
Well well, no update in almost 4months!!!! and it really hasn't got that much further forward. I hadn't touched it since may, been buying plenty of
arcade related item's but last week I decided to mount the monitor again, the original mount's just didn't look good, functional yes, but looked sheeite!
so it was just to mount it really so as you can see there are a few squint lines, not worried cos there is a bezel to go in there still. Also the control panel has been replaced with an all new control panel and a plexi top, looks better imo & the button moves feel wore comfortable. The big thing for me was seeing it painted, really changed the look of the whole thing which is what made me put the tmolding on.
So it will probably sit there now till I do something with it, but when that will be is anybodys guess, too much going on atm.
Regards.

Nice project. Who did you get the Pentranic monitor from, and would you mind listing a price?
I considered something like this instead of a 24.8 CRT for my Golden Tee, but only saw the Happ LCDs. They only had up to 19", which is way too small, but even those were ungodly expensive.

So you didnt decide to make the bezel so it covered up the boards on either side of the screen?

Still to do the bezel, going to get some posterboard at some point in the near future and it will be cut in such a way that it will hide the wideness of the screen and fit round the actual screen output.
