I just claimed this cab and had some questions...

http://southjersey.craigslist.org/ele/602597891.html

1. Was it a good deal? Im new to this hobby.

2. It doesnt have a monitor, so is the blitz screen 25" or 27"?

3. Besides mame'ing this guy, would it be pricey to try and restore it?

Xb0x3r:

It looks like a conversion to me. Its supposed to like LuSiD's cab.

Jeff AMN:

Yeah, it's not an actual original Blitz cab, but that's not a big deal. If you MAME it, you may actually like this design better. I used and empty Blitz cab for my MAME, by the way. My cab was free, but only because the guy was going to trash it.

Here's the finished product:

MAME that sucker! Don't forget to ask for help and search around the forum for tips.

TelcoLou:

Congrats! MAME away! :)

It's a good deal if your satisfied,
I paid 100 for my empty Blitz cab. You have to be lucky or very persistent to find free stuff in decent shape.
I have about 600.00 invested into parts, monitor, joysticks and box's of stuff that I didn't really need, and after 3 or 4 months of weekends.......end result........a playable machine.
Check out my project thread in my signature for pics. I tried to document stuff as I went through it.
Your cab has all kinds of potential.
Good Luck
GD
