This is why I use a dremel + wire wheel at the lowest speed + light pressure.

If you are doing this for a dreamcast console only then no you don't need an I-Pac.  If you are building a control panel for a MAME machine then you will need an I-Pac, GP-Wiz or Key-Wiz to interface with the computer.  As long as the wire you use will hold solder then it should work.

Ok I think I got it all I need to do it strip the controller to copper....then solder all the wires to there spot....then, connect them to the buttons and your done?

Sorry for double posting but after I got all the material I pretty much knew what to do I just have a quick question is there anyway to check if your doing it right as you go?
