this is a great idea, i've been wondering why this isn't out there already. mind you, i think the best way to go is to give some kind of reference in the game itself that you can work off. i think it was in the wiki about turn counts that it mentioned that a full revolution of the spinner in the original tempest moved you 6 sectors on the first screen. it's pretty easy to calibrate after that. if we had this kind of info from the originals i reckon it'd be a lot easier to config. |

Just wanted to say this is exactly what I was looking for recently having gotten my TT2! Thanks Todd for posting your settings... And I second the request for trackball settings as I have an Ultimarc U-TRAC on the way! |

Doing a search led me to this post which has a good bit of information too: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=23967.msg201068#msg201068 This post has references from the original games as well. I also noticed in another post I found that Randy mentioned that Arkanoid 2 needs about twice as much as the first. --- Quote from: RandyT on July 30, 2008, 12:34:16 pm ---With a TT2 it should be set right around 40% (486/1200=40.5) DOH wants to be set at twice this. The "feel" will be a little different based on knob diameter as well, compared to the original knob size. A smaller knob than the original may feel more accurate if you lower the sensitivity, while a larger one will feel more accurate if it's a little higher. But the numbers above are good starting points. RandyT --- End quote --- |
